Assistant Professor of Linguistics

WHO I AM
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics at Rutgers University. I work in formal semantics, and my research focuses more specifically on the expression of stativity and change of state cross-linguistically, abstract nouns, and plurality. My work is primarily informed by the Iranian languages, especially Persian and Sorani Kurdish, and I have recently begun to work on the understudied Indo-Aryan language Banjara. With Maria Kouneli, I run the Rutgers Fieldwork Lab.
